Irene Goren, nee Hoffman, 101, beloved wife of the late Dr. Marvin; loving mother of Alene Goren-Taylor (Lance Taylor), Carol Gore (Dr. Jerry), and the late Dr. Mark Goren; cherished grandmother of David (Sarah Wise) Taylor, Julia Taylor (Sage Clemenco), Ben Taylor, and Ariel, Aaron, and Daniel Gore; adored great-grandmother Mira and Malcolm; treasured friend of many. Chapel service Monday 2:30 PM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Interment Shalom Memorial Park. My deepest sympathies to both Alene and Carol. Your mom was a very long standing and close friend of my mom’s for many years. Glad they got to spend some of their last days together. Your mom was so strong and so well mannered and well-dressed every time I saw her. She lived a long and good life.
